Employment rights after Brexit

How will employment rights be affected by Brexit?

It is too early to say for definite what the impact of Brexit will have on employment protection as the Brexit bill is still making its way through Parliament. However, we do know that clause 1 of the Bill repeals the European Communities Act 1972 which was the mechanism for implementation of European law into the UK. This means that those laws that originated from Europe such as the Agency Workers Directive, the Working Time Directive and TUPE will be impacted, but other areas of law that are solely of UK origins will remain as they currently are. Examples such as the laws relating to unfair dismissal and equality law (even though equality law has some aspects of it that originate from the EU) will remain the same.
